ChatGPT Image Automation, shown as ImageAuto in parts of the interface, is a Chrome extension that helps users process a queue of image-generation prompts on ChatGPT and optionally save generated images to a local folder selected by the user.
ChatGPT Image Automation may handle prompt text, relevant content from the active ChatGPT conversation, the selected ChatGPT tab URL and state, request identifiers and response metadata, generated images and image metadata, queue settings, language preferences, activity logs, recovery state, and a browser-granted handle to the local folder selected by the user.
ChatGPT Image Automation does not intentionally collect passwords, authentication tokens, payment information, health information, precise location, or personally identifying profile information.
Data is used only to submit prompts requested by the user, monitor image generation, match images to prompts, display and restore queue progress, preview images, optionally save images locally, and provide optional sounds and notifications.
Prompt queues, settings, logs, generated-image metadata, and recovery state are stored locally in Chrome storage. The selected download-folder handle may be stored locally in IndexedDB after the user grants permission. This data remains until the user clears it, removes the extension, or Chrome removes its storage. Downloaded images remain in the selected folder until the user deletes them.
When the user selects Chrome's default Downloads folder, ChatGPT Image Automation saves the validated image through Chrome's built-in download manager instead of retaining a writable handle to that system folder.
ChatGPT Image Automation does not operate a developer-controlled server and does not transmit extension data to the developer. When a user starts a queue, prompt text is submitted through the user's existing ChatGPT session. OpenAI's own terms and privacy policies govern its services.
ChatGPT Image Automation does not sell user data or share it with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties. The optional Ko-fi link opens only when clicked, and no prompt or extension data is sent to Ko-fi by the extension.
Permissions are used only for the side-panel interface, queue timing, local settings and state, communication with the selected ChatGPT tab, relevant image-request completion detection, packaged-script injection, and optional notifications. ChatGPT Image Automation does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly.
Host access is limited to supported ChatGPT and OpenAI HTTPS pages. Local folder access requires explicit browser permission from the user.
Users can remove prompts, clear logs, disable automatic downloads and notifications, revoke folder access, clear extension storage in Chrome, or uninstall ChatGPT Image Automation. Downloaded files must be deleted separately from the selected local folder.
ChatGPT Image Automation's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only for the extension's single user-facing purpose and is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or sale to third parties.
ChatGPT Image Automation is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This policy may be updated when features or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated for material changes.
